# Introduction

What is zenda authentication API?

zenda Auth API is a system for 3rd Party Apps (School apps, ERP apps etc) to easily login the users to the zenda platform. In this documentation, we guide you through the process of achieving this, including pre-requisites and API reference. 

## **Prerequisites**

What are the pre-requisites to ensure a seamless authentication b/w the School app & zenda?

* API keys must be generated for each school by zenda. Please use the same. 
* To ensure a smooth login process,
  * Student data must be already synced using SIS sync APIs.
